Identified HCVF Area within KPKKT

  1. Neobalanocarpus heimii (Chengal)  stand within Comp. 5 Pasir Raja FR.
  2. Dipterocarpus sarawakensis in Compt. 31 Jerangau FR
  3. Vatica sp. Nov. in Compt. 31 Jerangau FR. 
  4. Rafflesia sp. plants within Pasir Raja.
 
Observation/Remark
  1. The world’s largest Chengal tree has been declared as a National Heritage and will continue to be developed as an eco-tourism destination gene bank (GRA – Genetic Resource Area) for the species.
  2. D. sarawakensis and Vatica sp. Nov. is still under investigation with FRIM’s collaboration on their taxonomic and conservation status.  Compt. 31 of Jerangau FR has been set aside as GRA for the two
