Introduction

Forest protection  is a general term describing methods purported to preserve or improve a  forest threatened or affected by abuse. The types of abuse that forest protection seeks to prevent include aggressive or unsustainable logging. Forest protection will be given a top priority and will be conducted on a continuous and regular basis with adequate facilities provided for the patrol and monitoring team. Main aspects of protection include: (1) Protection from encroachment; (2) Protection from pest and disease outbreak; (3) Protection from fire; and (4) Protection from pollution.
