Kumpulan Pengurusan Kayu Kayan Terengganu Sdn. Bhd. (KPKKT), in collaboration with Pesama Timber Corporation (PESAMA), successfully organized the Stakeholder Engagement & FSC Mentoring Programme 2025 on 23 December 2025 at Permai Hotel, Kuala Terengganu. The programme was officiated by Dato’ Haji Yahaya bin Ali, Chairman of Golden Pharos Berhad, and graced by Yang Berhormat Ustaz Haji Wan Hassan bin Wan Ali, Member of Parliament for Dungun and Chairman of PESAKA Timber Berhad.
Also in attendance were Yang Berhormat Ir. Saiful Azmi bin Suhaili, ADUN Kemasik and Chairman of PESAMA Corporation Sdn. Bhd., as well as Yang Berhormat Ustaz Hafiz bin Adam, ADUN Air Putih and Board Member of PESAMA Corporation Sdn. Bhd. The programme brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from government agencies, research institutions, certification bodies, and local communities from the Dungun Timber Complex (DTC) and Cherul Timber Complex (CTC).
The initiative aimed to strengthen stakeholder engagement and enhance understanding of sustainable forest management practices in line with Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification requirements. It also reflected the industry’s ongoing commitment to responsible forest management, while supporting environmental sustainability and the long-term development of Terengganu’s forestry sector.
