Kumpulan Pengurusan Kayu Kayan Terengganu (KPKKT) has been awarded The Rising Star Award at the GeoInnovation Malaysia Award 2025 for its innovative project, E-Balak.
Held on 22 January 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, the recognition was presented for E-Balak, a geospatial (GIS)-based innovation that digitizes the timber supply chain from inventory management to log tracking at the landing point. The system enhances operational transparency, efficiency, and compliance with FSC sustainability standards.
The award was presented by Mr. CS Tan, CEO of Esri Malaysia, to Tuan Haji Muhyiddin Ab Rashid, Chairman of KPKKT, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
KPKKT extends its appreciation to all parties involved, from top management to field personnel, whose collective effort contributed to this achievement. The recognition reflects the organization’s strong commitment to advancing forestry technology and innovation in Terengganu.
